Even though Nicki Minaj isn’t coming out to play, the Hot 97 Summer Jam is still big stuff in New York City. The black, modern day Woodstock is full of energy and craziness and everyone is trying to be a part of the action. Even though black people can’t usually buy tickets to stuff like this, it’s still a good chance for the artists to make a few dollars before their next album flops and they go broke.
Allhiphop.com tells the story:
Excitement, surprises, and camaraderie. Those are three words that describe the energy and essence of the backstage artist area during HOT 97′s annual Summer Jam concert. From G.O.O.D. Music’s Pusha-T having a conversation with Fat Joe, to Rick Ross walking around shirtless, and French Montana patrolling the halls with his massive entourage, you never know what you’re going to witness.
Mix in a little Ma$e posing for photos with Childish Gambino, and Big Sean hanging out with Wale, and that’s just a glimpse of what AllHipHop.com caught on camera behind-the-scenes at Hot 97′s Summer Jam.
