Nas Talks about the Pain of His Divorce

The rapper Nas did an interview about the lessons he learned from his divorce with Kelis.  Nas talks about how public his life has been in the last couple of years, and how his divorce was such an emotional experience.  Nas puts a picture of Kelis’ dress on the cover of his album, and says that he wants to tell the story about his life so that he can tell the real story rather than letting others tell the false one.

We don’t know what to say about Nas’ new album.  Some love it, some hate it, but we all respect it.   Nas has some serious IRS issues to clear up, like every other rapper in the world, but he’s the kind of legend that you have to always appreciate.   Here is what one critic wrote about Nas’ new album.

“Bye Baby” gives a very personal account of what happened between him and ex-wife Kelis, offering more insight into that relationship than any Oprah interview could. The jazz-based “Stay” should have just been called “Black Girl Lost: Part 2″ (instead of this debacle that was released a couple months ago). And “Cherry Wine,” featuring Amy Winehouse, has Nas explaining what his perfect relationship would be and some regrets of the past.
