Lupe Fiasco’s Remark Against Chief Keef Sparks Rivalry

Earlier today, Interscope Records signee Chief Keef wrote a tweet about a slain local Chicago rapper who went by the name Lil’ JoJo. The 16-year old artist was fatally shot late last night and was involved in a rivalry with Chief Keef associate Lil’ Reese. After the news broke of Lil’ JoJo’s death Chief Keef took to Twitter and wrote the following message:
“HahahahahhahahahahahahahaahhAAHAHAHAHA #RichNiggaShit Its Sad Cuz Dat Nigga Jojo Wanted To Be Jus Like Us #LMAO (Chief Keef”s Twitter).”
Fellow Chicago rapper and veteran Atlantic Records signee Lupe Fiasco made a comment about Chief Keef in an interview last week with the Baltimore radio station 92Q. He stated the following words:
“Chief Keef scares me. Not him specifically, but just the culture that he represents,” Fiasco stated in the interview that landed on FakeShoreDrive.com. “Specifically in Chicago. And I don’t speak this about any other city because I’m not from there. But like my family lives in Chicago. So my nephews, my cousins, my friends, and my peoples they all in those hoods that he represents. When you drive through Chicago…The hoodlums, the gangsters, and the ones you see killing each other. And the murder rate in Chicago is skyrocketing and you see who’s doing it and perpetrating it, they all look like Chief Keef.” He went on to insinuate that the music Keef makes celebrates the violence in his hometown.
Chief Keef took back to twitter today to taunt Lupe Fiasco and tweeted: “Lupe fiasco a hoe ass nigga And wen I see him I’ma smack him like da lil bitch he is #300 (Chief Keef’s Twitter)” Lupe Fiasco subsequently took to Twitter himself to make comments largely thought to be in response to Chief Keef’s remarks. They read as follows:
“my father i have spoken the truth to them yet it has only made my life in this world more troubled. i can bear this no longer…i have spoken peace only 2 receive vitriol and malice in return. My brother seeks destruction my sister seeks attention paths to nothingness i’d die for them…but they’d probably spit on my grave…i still will die for them…just bury me in a place far from their reach…Amin (Lupe Fiasco’s Twitter).” At press time, there was no response by Chief Keef to Lupe Fiasco’s latest tweet.
When you think about our young people and the fail of so many things including our educational system it makes you sad. For someone who has found his way out of the dump of Parkway Gardens-although he can’t read nor can he write- instead of being greatful to God for His grace and mercy this piece of garbage uses his “fame” to laugh at someone else’s tragedy. Someone signed him to a labeled inspite of the fact that he has bragged about his role in shootings in Chicago. I guess it’s business as usual.

This is nothing new. We are our worst own enemy! Unfortunately there are those of us that have aligned themselves with those that have been our enemy! But as I have come to realize peace comes at the end of a sword! There is no reasoning with people that are diametrically opposed to the position of peace and prosperity for black people.

Chief Keefe is plain crazy. Like a rabid raccoon, sick from all the psychogical poison he has ingested his entire life. He is the result of the hardcore packaging and promotion of this bs culture of hypo-machismo at all costs. Now he’s trying to get famous off of a brothers death AND Lupe’s coat tails. Simple. He is not alone, these kids are dangerous and if something isn’t done soon, ain’t no telling where things are going. We have to STOP supporting all this morally bankrupt and irreponsible music. It does affect us. We seem to reward stupidity as long as you can make it sound slick.

Lupe we all consider you established I think that Interscope needs to make some serious decisions, because this type of individual is not a role model and my kids will not be listening or buying his music nor would I or my friends. Thanks Lupe for being the bigger person you are the one that has legacy potential!!!!Let this guy who glorifies another person death enjoy their five minutes of fame. Society expects all to be accountable even Interscope Records.

It hurts me that another human being would make an insensitive statement like the one left by Chief Keef. Lil JoJo was only 16 years old, probably not even out of high school yet. I’m sure he has parents and love ones grieving in pain. The very idea that someone could be so warped and corrupt and poisoned inside is indeed frightening. Chief Keef is probably a serial killer in the making just awaiting his chance.

Where is the “BEEF”? Black on Black crime is PURE entertainment. Just look at US on TV, cable, youtube, Basketall ball WIVES, and many many more. Gangbanging? fighting over streets signs we don’t even own. Willie Lynch pinch over the the shades of colors in our community, instead of celebrating US, will discriminate against each other. Today, we can no longer blame the “Slave Master”, it is our fault. People have came and went to help US but, we reject them and things remain the same. This is our problem and we can only solve them.

The language must change. Chief Keef that is his name according to the article. Where is the Chief leading his people? Is this quality leadership? What is his main goal? Nigga, Nigger,Bitch,Hoe and bitch ass Nigger/Nigga- Language must change. Total disrespect for the community. The high crime rates in Chicago only shows the “DISRESPECT” Black have for LIFE. The crime is PURE ENTERTAINMENT. This decrease of the Black Male in our community continues to HURT our CHILDREN, MOTHERS AND GRANDMOTHERS. The crimes, drugs and gangs/jail are all part of “POPULATION CONTROL”. The joke is on US. No- HAHAHA here.

First of all there is total disrespect for your elders chief keef. You got offended when you heard the truth about yourself. Where are the elders in your life? How do you respect and honor them in your everday life? How do they feel about what you’ve accomplished? The interesting part is that you had no response when words bigger than 4 letters were directed at you. Someone in your camp needs to encourage you to educate yourself on how you willingly participate in the destruction of your self and your community. Chief means ruler leader commander, why did you choose that title if you are not living up to it!!
