Obama Chills with Jay Z and Beyonce at the 40/40 Club

Last night Barack Obama headlined his Jay Z and Beyonce fundraiser event at Jay Z’s 40/40 Club near Madison Square Park in the Chelsea district of New York City. The 100 person fundraising event cost each attendee a reported $40,000 per ticket with the proceeds going to the Obama Victory Fund, a fundraising account of the Obama campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

Obama thanked his supporters and joked that he and Jay Z had a lot in common. “We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are.” (classic)

Obama did attend the event solo and said the First Lady and his two daughters were especially disappointed to miss this particular event. The President went on to say, “Beyoncé couldn’t be a better role model for our daughters because she carries herself with such class and poise and has so much talent.”

Jay and Bey have been outspoken supporters of the Obama Administration with Beyonce even performing at the Presidential Inaugaration in 2009.

I guess Jay Z really does have Barack on speed dial !!!
